Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling
- Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about store merchandise to promote sales and product knowledge
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending suitable items to increase sales opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store displays are attractive and well-maintained
- Handle cash drawer operations with integrity, ensuring accurate cash handling and balancing at shift end
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring inventory levels are adequate
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math skills for accurate transactions
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash handling responsibilities responsibly and maintain a balanced cash drawer
- Experience supervising or mentoring team members is a plus, reflecting leadership potential in a retail setting
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and upselling techniques enhances performance
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to build positive relationships with shoppers
