Duties

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and integrity
• Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and practicing courteous phone etiquette
• Support inventory management through stock checks and assisting with inventory counts
• Promote store promotions and loyalty programs to maximize sales opportunities

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Previous supervising experience or leadership in retail settings is a plus
• Ability to conduct product demos confidently and educate customers about features and benefits
• Bilingual skills to serve diverse customer needs effectively
• Strong communication skills with a friendly phone etiquette approach
• Upselling techniques to increase sales while ensuring customer satisfaction
• Basic math skills for cash reconciliation and retail math calculations
• Experience in grocery store or retail sales environments preferred
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and inventory management practices
• Customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
