What are the responsibilities and job description for the Animal Care Specialist position at Corinth Alcorn Animal Shelter?

What You'll Be Doing:
- Cleaning kennels and play yards
- Feeding, bathing, walking and medicating dogs and/or cats
- Selecting and introducing dogs to potential adopters
- Assisting with veterinary care and ensuring animals stay happy and healthy

What to expect:
- Part time, about 20-30 hours a week. This could be any time during the week 8am-5pm including weekends.
- Shelter life is 365 days a year. Holidays and weekends. Rain, shine, sleet or snow. The dogs and cats must be cared for every single day regardless of what is happening around them.
- Animal care specialists rotate holidays off. You will not be expected to work every single holiday, but you must be able to share the work load so that everyone has a chance to take a break.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $8.00 - $10.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
