Key Responsibilities: Trade Lifecycle Management Process and book daily trades for all fixed income securities processed by the team. Ensure accurate and timely trade notifications to custodians, brokers, and internal systems. Monitor, match, and affirm DTC (The Depository Trust Company) confirms. Communication & Coordination Serve as the primary contact for high-volume inquiries from brokers, custodians, and internal teams. Collaborate with traders, operations teams, and counterparties to prevent and resolve settlement issues. Serve as the primary backup for both fixed income and equity settlements, providing coverage for either function during colleague absences. Reconciliation & Data Accuracy Perform daily and monthly reconciliations to confirm internal records match custodian and counterparty data. Identify, investigate, and resolve breaks with a strong focus on root-cause prevention. Exception & Fail Management Research and resolve complex settlement issues, including trade fails, discrepancies, and unmatched confirmations. Proactively follow up with counterparties on missing or incorrect documentation. Systems & Data Maintenance Maintain and update standard settlement instructions (SSIs) for broker banks within internal systems and custodians on ALERT. Specialized Account Handling Conduct manual reconciliations for accounts requiring physical or paper-based documentation. Required Qualifications: Technical Skills Proficiency with Excel; strong typing speed and data-entry accuracy. Ability to learn and navigate trade processing and reconciliation systems. Operational Skills Strong deadline management and ability to meet strict market settlement windows. High attention to detail and commitment to minimizing operational risk. Soft Skills Excellent problem-solving abilities and comfort working in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Communication Skills Clear and professional written and verbal communication with brokers, banks, and internal stakeholders. Confidence in asking questions, escalating issues, and collaborating across teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trade operations, settlements, or reconciliation. Exposure to fixed income products (corporates, municipals, treasuries, mortgage-backed securities). Familiarity with DTC, ALERT and custodial platforms. Experience in an RIA, asset manager, or broker-dealer environment. Pay Information This position is non-exempt and is paid according to the laws of the State of Illinois. The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00 USD per hour. We are required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. Physical Requirements This position requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Corient seeks to make reasonable accommodations that enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties when possible. This position may require the ability to lift up to 15 pounds. This position is required to work onsite 4 days per week. U.S. Eligibility Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. Exceptions to these requirements will be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. Corient will require proof of work authorization.
