- Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes in coordination with fund administrators, including fund expense preparation and financial package review.
- Oversee and reconcile fund and client transactions, including capital movements, trading activity, line of credit usage, and expense allocations.
- Coordinate capital calls and distributions with third-party fund administrators and ensure accurate internal tracking.
- Support year-end audit procedures by preparing documentation and liaising with auditors and fund administrators.
- Support year-end tax processes by coordinating with external tax service providers.
- Assist with annual ADV compliance filings and related regulatory documentation.
- Collaborate with Client Advisor teams to resolve client inquiries.
- Interpret and extract key information from fund legal documents, including partnership agreements, offering memorandums, and audited financials.
- Contribute to team-wide projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related strongly preferred
- Minimum 4 years of experience in fund accounting, fund operations, and/or a tax-focused role.
- Strong understanding of fair value financial statements, hedge and private equity fund structures, and general ledger systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivation.
- Proficiency in Excel, strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Desired:
- CPA preferred.
- Hands-on experience with fund accounting and operations for alternative investments.
- Prior experience in public accounting, fund administration, or a tax firm.
- This position requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. - This position is required to work onsite 4 days per week.
