Travel: As needed to other Corfini Gourmet facilities
Compensation: $120,000-$150,000 (DOE)

Role Overview
We are seeking a Plant Maintenance & Production Equipment Manager to serve as the primary maintenance and equipment lead across our multi‑site food processing operations. This role is responsible for supporting equipment reliability, preventive maintenance execution, and safe plant operations while staying closely connected day‑to‑day production needs. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple facilities. This position is onsite, preferably based in Northern California, with flexibility to consider West Coast–based candidates for assignment to their nearest Corfini Gourmet facility. The role also includes travel to other Corfini Gourmet plants as business needs require.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Production Equipment Leadership
- Serve as the central point of contact for plant maintenance and production equipment across multiple facilities
- Ensure safe, reliable operation of processing, packaging, refrigeration, material handling, and facility equipment
- Drive consistent execution of preventive maintenance (PM) programs across locations
- Coordinate corrective maintenance and urgent repairs to minimize downtime and production impact
- Provide hands‑on technical troubleshooting and support as needed
- Support CMMS‑based maintenance planning, tracking, and documentation
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Manage maintenance‑related vendors and contractors across facilities
- Define scopes of work, coordinate scheduling, and oversee onsite execution
- Ensure compliance with plant safety, sanitation, and food safety expectations
- Evaluate vendor performance with a focus on reliability, responsiveness, and cost effectiveness
Food Safety, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with USDA, FDA, FSMA, OSHA, and applicable state regulations
- Support and enforce critical programs including:
- Lockout / Tagout (LOTO)
- Machine guarding
- Sanitation‑safe maintenance practices
- Maintain audit readiness for maintenance, equipment, and facility systems
- Partner closely with Operations and Quality teams to support HACCP, sanitation, and audit requirements
Reliability & Continuous Improvement
- Support initiatives focused on:
- Equipment uptime and availability
- Reduction of unplanned downtime
- Improved PM effectiveness and execution
- Track maintenance KPIs such as PM completion and downtime trends
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions
Capital Projects & Asset Management
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and capital improvement projects
- Provide input on asset condition, lifecycle planning, and repair vs. replace decisions
- Maintain equipment documentation and maintenance history across facilities
This position has no direct reports, but carries significant influence through technical leadership, coordination, and operational accountability.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of maintenance or equipment leadership experience in food manufacturing, food processing, meat, seafood, or food distribution environments
- Strong hands‑on knowledge of processing, packaging, refrigeration, and facility systems
- Experience coordinating maintenance activities across multiple sites
- Solid understanding of preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and regulatory compliance
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with Operations and Quality teams
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
- Willingness to travel as required
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Trade school, technical training, or equivalent experience preferred
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work around production equipment
- Comfortable working in food processing environments, including cold storage and active production areas
