What are the responsibilities and job description for the Steel Loader/ Order Filler - S&R/ Warehousing - 2nd Shift / 3pm-11pm position at Corey Steel Company?
Now hiring responsible and reliable individuals to join our Shipping & Receiving/ Warehousing team as a Loader or Order Filler. Prior experience working with metals in a manufacturing setting a plus. Overhead crane experience a plus.
Top end of the posted hourly rate range after training is completed.

- Consistent days and hours with potential OT.
- Monday - Friday 3 - 11 pm, with some mandatory OT to 1:30 am.

GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES include but not limited to:
- Inspect overhead crane.
- Locate, scan inventory, transfer, band and stage per work order or as needed.
- Split bundles as needed per work order.
- Organize storage racks in assigned bay by appropriate criteria.
- Perform quality checks consistent with established quality standards.
- Prepare shipping tag and affix to picked bundles.
- Process relevant paperwork according to company processes.
- Load trucks as needed.
- Assist in other tasks within the Shipping & Receiving and/ or Warehousing areas as needed.
- Other duties as directed by the Warehouse Foreman or other Leaders/ Supervisors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Must speak, read and write English
- Communicate and work effectively with other employees
- Operate a scanner gun frequently
- Grasp and use hand tools weighing up to 10 pounds
- Physically able to walk and stand constantly
- Frequently stooping, bending, climbing, twisting, and occasionally reaching above shoulder height with up to 10 pounds
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 15 pounds frequently and 30 pounds occasionally
- The ability to reach above shoulder height occasionally
- Regular and reliable attendance on assigned shift
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must pass drug screening
- Must be reliable and responsible
- Have basic familiarity with weights and basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
- Be able to learn and use proficiently the computerized business system including bar code scanner and overhead crane. Training will be provided.
- Detail oriented
- Have good organizational skills, mechanical aptitude, problem solving qualities and good spatial reasoning
