What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Mission Control Coordinator position at Corewell Health?
Night shift
- Oversight of the day-to-day operations of Mission Control. Provide exceptional customer service and maintain relationships with multidisciplinary teams.
- Analyze real-time capacity and throughput metrics, identify barriers to meeting timely placement and resolve patient flow issues as they arise. Engage with appropriate department leaders to escalate and resolve concerns with patient flow.
- Direct and control patient flow activities into, within and out of Corewell Health facilities and ensures effective utilization of resources. Evaluate, develop, and implement strategies to maximize system capacity management and throughput.
- Acts as an escalation path for Mission Control functions and needs. Offers support and guidance to team members within the Mission Control team.
- Engages in quality improvement reviews to meet departmental and organizational metrics or initiatives.
- Required Associate's Degree or equivalent
- Required Bachelor's Degree bachelors of science in nursing must be obtained within 5 years
- 3 years of relevant experience Nursing experience within a hospital setting including but not limited to inpatient adult and pediatrics, acute care or critical care, emergency/urgent care Required
- Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Michigan Upon Hire required
