About the Practice

This is a clerical MA Sr role. Primary responsibilities include registration, referrals, and other clerical tasks.
At Advanced Primary Care, we specialize in patients who are 65 with multiple chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, heart failure and COPD. Join our multidisciplinary team consisting of physicians, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, social workers and MAs. We collaborate together to deliver innovative and quality care.

About Outpatient Clinics 

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. 

Scope of work  

Serves as a subject matter expert in the practice. Trains new staff. Performs a variety of medically related and clinical tasks by assisting providers in providing direct patient care. May perform moderately complex procedures within scope of certification. Responsibilities may include surgical and procedural scheduling or panel management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program Required

• 3 years of relevant experience working in a physician practice or healthcare setting Required
• Experience working as a Medical Assistant (MA), Paramedic, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN) Required
• Experience using EPIC Required
• Experience as an EPIC Superuser Preferred

• One of the following Required within 120 Days
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
• NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
• NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)

• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 120 Days
