What are the responsibilities and job description for the Helen DeVos Teacher and School Liaison position at Corewell Health?

Scope of work
As a team member within the Child and Family Life team, the team member will provide support for the educational needs of pediatric patients at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital. This support includes, but is not limited to, collaborative educational planning with school systems during periods of hospitalization and to meet post-discharge needs, assisting with individualized educational plans, and implementation of the hospital-based school program.
Qualifications
- Required Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years of relevant experience teaching and/or related experience Required
- special education teaching Preferred
- behavioral/mental health experience Preferred
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
- CRT-Teacher Certificate - MDE Michigan Department of Education 1 Year required Or
