Job Overview
Senior Technical Project Manager (PMP certified) to lead and manage multiple IT projects across various departments. This role involves managing projects of varying sizes, including in-flight initiatives, while working in a matrixed environment with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
The ideal candidate will combine strong project management expertise with business analysis capabilities, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple IT projects across different business units
- Execute full project lifecycle:
- Planning, scoping, execution, monitoring, and closure
- Track requirements and perform light business process analysis
- Collaborate with teams across:
- Information Security
- Infrastructure (Cloud & On-Prem)
- Integrations & Data Conversion
- GIS and other technical areas
- Work with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure project success
- Produce clear and concise project documentation and status reports
- Manage risks, issues, budgets, schedules, and resources
- Ensure alignment with PMO standards and governance frameworks
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
- PMP Certification (Mandatory)
- Strong experience in IT Project Management within enterprise environments
- 2–5 years of Business Analysis exposure (PBA concepts, process mapping, etc.)
- Experience managing projects in organizations with 500 employees
- Strong knowledge of:
- SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
- Project governance (scope, cost, schedule, risk, quality)
- Experience working in matrixed environments with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools for planning, estimation, and reporting
- Ability to create:
- Process flow diagrams
- RASCI models
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in public sector / local government environments
- Familiarity with CJIS Security Policy requirements
- Experience managing vendor relationships and contracts
- Ability to present data-driven insights and recommendations
