Job Description:

We are seeking a technically proficient and detail-oriented OneSource Configuration Engineer to join our global tax technology team. This role will be primarily responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the Thomson Reuters OneSource tax platform, while also integrating and aligning tax settings across SAP ECC/S4 HANA, e-commerce platforms, and other ERP systems.

The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of tax technology, SAP FICO modules, ERP integrations, and process automation. You will serve as a key technical resource for enterprise-wide tax solution implementations, ensuring global tax compliance and operational efficiency

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain the OneSource Indirect/Direct Tax platform to support corporate tax compliance and reporting.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Tax, Finance, and IT to gather business requirements and deliver effective, scalable solutions.

• Take ownership of the global tax solution architecture, ensuring tax settings in SAP ECC/S4 HANA, eCommerce systems, and other back-office ERPs meet compliance and business requirements.

• Design and configure SAP FICO modules, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Cash Management, Intercompany Accounting, and Revenue Accounting & Reporting to align with tax and business needs.

• Act as Tax Technology Lead for Finance during S4 HANA implementations and M&A projects. Deliver technical tax solutions aligned with regulatory and business changes.

• Develop and maintain data mappings, import/export routines, and automation scripts for OneSource integrations.

• Configure currency services and manage exchange rate settings within OneSource.

• Establish seamless data integrations between OneSource and ERP systems (SAP, AS00, Oracle, etc.).

• Support software upgrades, patches, and feature rollouts with rigorous testing and documentation.

• Lead issue resolution to maintain data accuracy, system performance, and tax compliance across global entities (US, EMEA, APAC).

• Provide technical leadership and SME-level support for tax-related IT implementations.

• Document configuration changes, workflows, and integration architectures.

• Train end-users and provide ongoing technical support to business stakeholders.

• Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit readiness, and data governance protocols.

• Collaborate with product and business teams to deliver customer-centric tax solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• 5 years of experience implementing and supporting enterprise tax solutions.

• 3 years of hands-on configuration experience with Thomson Reuters OneSource or equivalent tax engines.

• Proven experience working with SAP FICO, including configuration and integration for tax compliance.

• Strong understanding of tax processes, compliance requirements, and data flow within enterprise systems.

• Proficient in SQL, Excel, and data transformation tools.

• Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, AS00, and related integration frameworks (IDOCs, APIs, BAPIs).

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

• Capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with OneSource Indirect Tax and other Direct Tax modules.

• Knowledge of global tax regulations and regional compliance (US, EMEA, APAC).

• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Alteryx, Power Automate, or UiPath.

• Exposure to eCommerce taxation models and digital invoicing processes.

• Background in project management, Agile methodologies, or business analysis roles.

• Experience with S4 HANA transformation and SAP modernization projects.
