HR Business Partner
San Francisco, CA 94109 – Onsite

SUMMARY/DUTIES:
- The HR Business Partner IV supports operating teams in achieving people-related objectives tied to employee satisfaction, patient and customer experience, labor cost targets, workforce performance, and talent development
- This role requires an experienced HRBP who can quickly step in with minimal training to lead and support complex workplace investigations, complaint resolutions, grievances, staff counseling, and progressive discipline
- Responsibilities include advising management on HR policy application, employment law compliance, collective bargaining agreements, employee relations issues, reductions in force, restructures, terminations, unemployment hearings, EEOC responses, attorney demand letters, and HR compliance case closure
- The HRBP also supports succession planning, manager onboarding, local training, labor relations strategy, HR data review, and leadership access to HR services
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or equivalent education and experience
- At least 8 years recent relevant Human Resources experience
- Experience independently conducting complex workplace investigations with minimal training or ramp-up
- Experience with HR business partner support in union and nonunion environments
- Experience with employee relations, labor relations, grievances, complaint resolution, and progressive discipline
- Knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements
- Ability to support terminations, unemployment hearings, EEOC responses, attorney demand letters, and compliance corrective action plans
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, confidential information, and leadership-level consultation
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in healthcare, acute care, foundation, or multi-site operating environments
- Experience supporting layoffs, restructures, mediation, arbitration preparation, and labor relations strategy
- Experience supporting talent management, succession planning, onboarding, and leadership coaching
- Experience facilitating training on compliance, performance management, HR tools, and policies
- Experience with spreadsheets, word processing, analysis, and presentation software
