CorePower Magnetics (https://www.corepowermagnetics.com) is pioneering advanced magnetic technologies and components for sustainable power applications spanning electric vehicles, renewable energy infrastructure, and the modernized grid.
Reporting to the CTO, the VP of Product Development will lead engineering and technology development for new products entering CorePower's portfolio of products. This critical role will oversee the product lifecycle from early research through new product introduction and ensure technology and development support of existing commercial products.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the product development portfolio, utilizing and continuously improving stage-gate processes from concept to commercialization
- Drive innovation initiatives to enable next-generation products and technologies
- Oversee product design, prototype builds, testing, verification, validation, and release for manufacturability
- Partner with commercial, marketing, and sales teams to ensure products meet customer and market requirements and to identify new product opportunities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial and other personnel to optimize new product introductions
- Conceive and implement development and technology support initiatives as required for long-service life products to ensure customer satisfaction
- Lead process and tool qualification for advanced manufacturing techniques
- Recruit and develop high-performing, multidisciplinary development teams
Requirements:
- 10 years leading engineering and product development teams
- Expertise in magnetic materials, power electronics, or electromechanical systems with expertise in a combination highly preferred
- Experience developing and commercializing innovative industrial products in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the highest standards of technical excellence
- Demonstrated capability in technology innovation and new product development, including project and portfolio management
- Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate technology into customer solutions
- MS or PhD in Electrical/Mechanical/Materials Engineering or related field
