Job Title: Teller

Department: Retail Operations

Reports To: Branch Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY

• Under supervision of the Branch Manager, and in compliance with established policies and procedures, performs a variety of teller related functions, such as processing share account, checking account, and loan transactions, cashing checks, and selling money orders and travelers checks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Represents the Credit Union to the members in a courteous and professional manner.
• Provides prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of transactions.
• Performs all teller functions, such as processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, selling money orders and travelers checks, maintaining cash drawer, and accurate knowledge of VISA payments, and VISA cash advances.
• Assists with clerical duties such as filing, typing, and record keeping.
• Actively cross-sells Credit Union services and assists in meeting branch goals
• May perform member service and lending functions, if qualified.
• Other duties as assigned

This position will support all CorePlus branch locations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 2 or more years teller or related experience.
• Cash handling experience required.
• Intermediate computer or other knowledge including the ability to operate Credit Union's in-house teller terminal and other standard office equipment.
• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
