What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Personal Trainer position at CorePhysio?
Join CorePhysio as an Independent, Experienced Personal Trainer
CorePhysio is one of the only locally owned, Certified B Corporations in the US specializing in physical therapy and fitness, and we’re looking for an experienced, motivated Independent Personal Trainer to join our collaborative team.
We’re passionate about helping people move better, recover fully, and build lasting strength. Physical therapists and personal trainers work closely together to help clients transition from recovery to confident performance — and we like to have fun while we do it! If you’re someone who values excellence at work, loves seeing clients make progress, and enjoys being part of a positive, professional team, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do
- Design individualized and small-group fitness programs that support post-rehab, injury prevention, and performance goals.
- Partner with our physical therapy team to support long-term client success.
- Build your independent business within a trusted, local clinical environment.
- Bring your energy and expertise to help clients move, feel, and live better.
You’re a Great Fit If You Have
- Certification through NASM, ACSM, NSCA, or another nationally recognized organization.
- Experience in sports performance, corrective exercise, or post-rehab training.
- Excellent communication skills, experience in working with a wide variety of ages and a collaborative mindset.
- Current CPR/AED certification, liability insurance, and independent business status.
Why You’ll Love Working With CorePhysio
- Locally owned and deeply connected to our Bellingham community.
- Exclusive referrals from incredible clinical colleagues within a long-established, respected physical therapy practice.
- Supportive, fun, and professional atmosphere working side-by-side with clinical team.
- Opportunities to learn, grow, and be part of a team that values excellence — and enjoys the work we do.
- Participate in journal clubs and learning opportunities.
Maximized Earning Power:
- Flexibility to set your own schedule and rates in a spacious, well equipped gym with indoor and outdoor movement areas including external screened pergola.
- Site fee is industry standard (30% of gross receipts).
- As a PT clinic is not considered a fitness facility by the State of Washington, it is not necessary to charge clients 9.1% sales tax, resulting in more affordable training to clients, or higher earnings for you.
