Responsibilities
- Design and deliver high-energy yoga and Pilates classes that cater to various experience levels, emphasizing proper technique and safety.
- Incorporate principles of physiology, anatomy, and body mechanics into program planning to optimize results and prevent injury.
- Lead group fitness sessions that motivate participants, encouraging consistent participation and progress.
- Assess individual client needs through consultations, tailoring programs that integrate elements of dance, sports coaching, cycling, CrossFit, or personal training as appropriate.
- Promote health club memberships and fitness programs by demonstrating the benefits of yoga and Pilates to prospective clients.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to facility standards and safety protocols.
- Stay current with industry trends in fitness sales, program design, and specialized disciplines like sports coaching or dance to enhance class offerings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience teaching yoga and Pilates in a gym or health club setting with strong group fitness skills.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, body mechanics, and how they relate to movement practices such as Pilates, yoga, cycling, or dancing.
- Certification in yoga instruction (RYT or equivalent) and Pilates teaching credentials are highly preferred.
- Familiarity with CrossFit methodologies or personal training certifications is a plus for program development.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups while maintaining an energetic and motivating presence.
- Experience in fitness sales or promoting memberships is advantageous but not required.
- Passion for health, wellness, sports coaching, or dance disciplines that complement yoga and Pilates practices.
