Role Description The Entry Level Packing Line Inspector is a full-time, on-site role based in Corning, NY. This position is responsible for visually inspecting products on the packing line to ensure they meet quality and safety standards, identifying defects, and removing non-conforming items. The role includes monitoring packaging materials, verifying labels and counts, and maintaining clear documentation of inspections and any issues found. The inspector collaborates with line operators and supervisors to report problems, support corrective actions, and keep the line running efficiently. Daily tasks also involve following established procedures, adhering to workplace safety guidelines, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform detailed visual inspections and recognize product defects with accuracy.
- Basic understanding of quality control principles and willingness to learn standard inspection procedures.
- Capability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods and handling repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to following written and verbal instructions.
- Effective communication skills for reporting issues and working with team members and supervisors.
- High school diploma or GED preferred; prior manufacturing or inspection experience is a plus but not required.
