Network Engineer – Project Lead (Hybrid, SC Resident Only)

Seeking an experienced Network Engineer – Project Lead to design, implement, and support enterprise-level Cisco/Meraki network infrastructure. This role involves leading projects end-to-end, collaborating with technical teams, and ensuring secure, reliable statewide network operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot statewide WAN/LAN/wireless networks.
- Configure and patch Cisco firewalls (ASA5508-X, ASA5585-X, FirePower4110/2120) and switches (3750, C9500, C9300, Nexus5k/7k).
- Support Meraki switches, wireless APs, and firewalls (MX450).
- Develop implementation/test plans for Cisco/Meraki deployments.
- Provide remote troubleshooting with county IT partners.
- Document requests, analyze logs, and enhance network performance/security.
- Lead projects: define scope, drive requirements, build architectures, deliver solutions.
- Provide knowledge transfer and informal training to peers.
Required Skills:
- 4–6 years with Cisco Firewalls, Routers, Switches.
- Cisco CCNA & CCNP certification (4–6 years).
- Strong experience with Wireshark.
- Ability to clearly communicate infrastructure design/decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills:
- Cisco ISE, VPN, Hardware Administration (4–6 years).
- 5 years designing/operating LAN/MAN/WAN networks.
- Microsoft network communications (MCSE), hybrid networking, Azure connectivity/security.
- Tools: Cisco FMC, ASDM, ISE, Putty, PowerShell, Wireshark, Nmap, SIEM, Cisco Security Manager.
