JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: The Production Manager will oversee our Production and Warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations while meeting production targets and maintaining the highest quality standards.
The position provides the technical and leadership expertise to maintain and continuously develop and improve the Production area processes and people in order to minimize cost, to ensure the technical means for safe operation and high product quality and to guarantee the desired technical plant availability as well as developing the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Production and Warehouse. This position ensures the organization, planning, direction and control of process changes and improvements and technical documentation for the production and warehouse areas.
  • Develop and implement production schedules and workflows to meet company objectives and deadlines.
  • The position provides the technical expertise to maintain and continuously develop and improve the area in order to minimize cost, to ensure the technical means for safe operation and high product quality.
  • Establish targets for process and production rates
  • Compare daily production rates against targets and provide direction
  • Identify process benchmarks and know what needs to improve
  • Responsible for the technical care and condition of the areas. Assures the defined technical availability of the unit according to the production requirements, with continuous technical improvements, and in conformance to changing requirements in respect to economics, safety and care for the environment.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement, maintenance, and quality control, to ensure smooth production processes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise production staff, including hiring and performance evaluations.
  • Direct change management through proper communication, dissemination of critical information and overall education of the team.
  • Manages conflict effectively.
  • Procure necessary resources to ensure the effective operation of the production department.
  • Enforce all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Keep employees informed on factors relating to their work assignment, work progress, and opportunities for advancement.
  • Develop and implement improvements and changes in work instructions, job descriptions, and training needs.
  • The incumbent reports to the Plant Manager.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP software; experience with manufacturing management software is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
