We're partnered with a unique hospitality destination that's looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to join their culinary leadership team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on kitchen leader who enjoys leading from the line, developing people, and creating systems that keep a busy kitchen running at its best. The operation features a high-volume restaurant alongside a thriving private events and catering business, making every day different.
We're looking for someone who is organized, calm under pressure, and passionate about quality, consistency, and building a positive kitchen culture.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the Executive Chef with all day-to-day back-of-house operations
- Leading and mentoring the kitchen team while fostering a positive, team-first culture
- Jumping onto any station during service to support the team when needed
- Managing ordering, inventory, scheduling, labour, and food cost controls
- Maintaining food quality, consistency, presentation, and portion standards
- Ensuring all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations are consistently met
- Monitoring prep, production, and inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
- Developing and maintaining kitchen systems, workflows, and standard operating procedures
- Assisting with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance development of culinary team members
- Supporting a busy catering and events program alongside restaurant operations
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar kitchen leadership role
- Background in an full-service restaurant – no QSR
- Strong experience with ordering, inventory management, scheduling, and labour controls
- Hands-on leader who enjoys cooking and working alongside the team during service
- Experience with POS and inventory systems (Toast experience is an asset)
- Banquet or catering experience is a strong advantage
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations
