- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and equipment
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to keep surfaces looking their best
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, ceilings, and fixtures to uphold high standards of hygiene and appearance
- Handle custodial tasks including trash removal, restocking supplies, and disinfecting surfaces regularly
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks when needed, including deep cleaning of machinery or large areas
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs or safety hazards promptly
- Use commercial cleaning products safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods such as buffing and waxing, and proper use of cleaning equipment
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and bending frequently
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic understanding of facilities maintenance and industrial cleaning procedures is preferred
- Prior porter or maintenance experience is a plus but not required
