- Properly identifies patient and selects venipuncture equipment appropriate for test, draws blood specimens.
- Monitor patient for negative reactions, and take appropriate measures to alleviate patient anxiety.'
- Properly label all specimens and follow laboratory procedures for requisitions.
- Adhere to strict antiseptic techniques for patient safety.
- High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent or greater.
- Must possess a current certification from an approved formal nursing assistant program or equivalent program. One year experience preferred
- One year experience preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
