Position: Detention Officer
Pay Rate: $22.95 per hour

Responsibilities
- Maintain order, safety, and security of residents in a correctional facility.
- Provide direct supervision of inmates/residents during housing, meals, recreation, work assignments, and other activities.
- Work across multiple duty areas (e.g., housing units, armory/key control, kitchen, medical, visitation).
- Use approved methods—including, when necessary, weapons or force—to maintain discipline and order.
- Be able to work any post assignment on any shift.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Must complete pre-service correctional officer training.
- State security officer license (if applicable).
- Valid driver’s license with a clear driving record.
- Ability to complete required training to meet contract standards.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
