The Information Technology organization is the technological foundation of our business and works in collaboration with our partners from across the company. The team drives technology and digital transformation, partners with business leaders to design and execute new strategies through IT and operations services and ensures the necessary IT risk management and security measures are in place and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and principles.

About The Role

The Head of Offensive Security & Threat Management leads Corebridge Financial’ s adversary simulation, red teaming, threat hunting, and detection validation programs to proactively identify and reduce material cyber risk. This role drives continuous improvement of security controls through offensive testing, intelligence‑led operations, and close partnership with incident response, engineering, and risk stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight, direction and strategy for Red Team testing and engagements.
  • Develop reporting including suggested mitigation strategies of results of Red Team activities for both management and technical audiences.
  • Innovate and develop approach to align Red Team engagements with relevant tools, tactics, and procedures (TTPs) and trends.
  • Support audit finding remediation and validation testing.
  • Manage and develop an intelligence driven threat hunt strategy, program, and reporting.
  • Coordinate and provide oversight for Enterprise and Application penetration testing and reporting.
  • Partner with Cyber Operations, Monitoring, and Incident Response teams to provide technical analysis of potential or detected threat.
  • Organize, lead, and design purple team tabletop exercises.

Skills And Qualifications

  • 6 years of increasing responsibility and work complexity to include multifaceted management roles in complex organizations.
  • Extensive technical experience in Cybersecurity and Information Technology, ideally in individual contributor and leadership roles.
  • Deep understanding of attacker’s tools, tactics, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Strong understanding of Application Security best practices.
  • Experience working within the financial or other highly regulated industries desired.
  • Ability to communicate via written and verbal communication in both formal and casual situations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent work experience.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $195,000 to $217,000 at the commencement of employment for the Jersey City, NJ and Woodland Hills, CA area. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.

In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

Work Location

This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Woodland Hills, CA, Jersey City, NJ, or Houston, TX office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.

This role is deemed a “covered associate” under SEC Rule 206(4)-5, 17 CFR
