Duties
- Thoroughly clean dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper sanitation procedures
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, or portioning items under supervision
- Support the catering and banquet teams by organizing supplies and ensuring timely setup and cleanup for events
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Buss tables and clear used dishware from dining areas to ensure a tidy environment for guests
- Follow food handling safety standards and proper hygiene practices at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy service times
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Knowledge of basic food handling procedures and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
