Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research on property titles, including reviewing public records, legal documents, and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data to verify ownership and identify potential issues.
- Process title documentation accurately, ensuring all necessary legal and procedural steps are completed for closing.
- Collaborate with law offices and title insurance companies to facilitate smooth transaction closures.
- Review and interpret real estate law to ensure compliance throughout the closing process.
- Coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, and agents to schedule closings and gather required documentation.
- Prepare and review settlement statements, deeds, affidavits, and other closing documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to provide updates, answer questions, and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of real estate law and legal procedures related to property transactions.
- Excellent research skills to analyze public records, legal documents, and GIS data efficiently.
