Experienced Stone Templator

We’re Growing — Come Build With Us

Core Tile & Stone is a Phoenix-based custom tile and stone contractor specializing in high-end residential projects throughout Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, and the surrounding Valley.

We work with builders and designers to create custom homes where quality, precision, and craftsmanship matter.

We are looking for an experienced Stone Templator who takes pride in their work, knows their craft, and wants to be part of a professional, hardworking team.

If you are someone who can walk into a job site, understand what needs to be measured, identify potential problems before they become issues, and create accurate templates that the fabrication team can rely on — we want to meet you.

What You'll Do

• Perform accurate field measurements and templating for high-end residential stone projects
• Create precise templates for countertops, vanities, shower walls, fireplace surrounds, backsplashes, tub decks, and other custom stone applications
• Measure and document walls, cabinets, appliances, plumbing, sinks, corners, walls, openings, and other site conditions
• Identify and account for out-of-square walls, uneven surfaces, unusual angles, offsets, and other field conditions
• Verify dimensions and site conditions before fabrication begins
• Review plans, drawings, dimensions, and project specifications to understand project requirements
• Communicate with project managers, installers, builders, designers, and the fabrication team
• Identify potential installation or fabrication issues while in the field and communicate them before fabrication begins
• Coordinate with other trades when necessary to ensure accurate measurements and proper installation conditions
• Confirm sink, faucet, cooktop, appliance, outlet, and other relevant locations and dimensions
• Take detailed field notes, photographs, and measurements to clearly communicate job-site conditions
• Ensure templates and measurements are complete, accurate, and clearly documented
• Double-check critical dimensions and details before submitting information to the fabrication team
• Make professional field judgments when site conditions differ from plans or expectations
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive working relationship with builders, designers, homeowners, and trade partners
• Safely transport and maintain templating equipment and tools
• Must have a valid Driver's license to drive any company vehicles to job sites throughout the Valley when needed
• Represent Core Tile & Stone professionally while working in occupied homes and active construction sites

The Right Person for This Position

The right person is someone who:

Shows up. Pays attention. Communicates. Takes responsibility. Works well with the team. Gets the details right.

Accuracy matters. A small mistake in the field can create a much bigger problem in the shop or during installation.

If you see a problem, speak up. If something doesn't look right, double-check it. If you don't know something, ask.

We work on high-end custom homes, so professionalism and attention to detail matter. Our clients and builder partners expect quality, and we expect our team to take pride in delivering it.

If you're an experienced templator who enjoys working in the field, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to be part of a company where your skills and contributions are valued, we'd love to hear from you.
