About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to join our organization and provide strategic leadership to our accounting operations. The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting professional with a strong foundation in financial management, team leadership, and process optimization. This role will oversee all accounting functions, ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and support executive leadership with actionable financial insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members to drive high performance and professional growth.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Develop, implement, and refine internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial compliance.
- Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
- Monitor cash flow, analyze financial trends, and produce reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and initiatives.
- Evaluate and enhance accounting processes, systems, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- 10 years of accounting experience, demonstrating increasing responsibility.
- 7 years of leadership or management experience within an accounting or finance department.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).
- CPA certification preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting best practices.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and drive process improvements.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or equivalent) and advanced Excel capabilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Salary : $90,000 - $145,000
