Summary Of Position

As a Mechanical Project Engineer supporting our Architecture and Engineering business unit, you are responsible for designing and managing mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion. You will apply your experience in: HVAC, plumbing/piping, refrigeration, fire protection, and fuel systems. As part of a multi-disciplined firm, you will coordinate with Site/Civil Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Structural Engineers, Architects and Construction Project Managers. You will be responsible for the production of mechanical engineering construction documents while adhering to client requirements, code requirements and site adjustments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visit investigations as well as generate reports/recommendations based on findings.
  • Produce design plans, calculations and reports with limited direction.
  • Coordinate with subconsultants, provide client interaction support, establish and maintain phase and task level budgets as well as schedule project phases and tasks.
  • Schedule production staff and lead them through tasks, coordinate and assist with addendums, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience with general building mechanical design production, preferably with commercial projects such as retail or restaurants
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • P.E. License needed
  • AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office

Team

You will work with a team of Design Engineers, Professional Engineers and Project Managers.

Work Location:

This position is based out of either our Burlington, MA, or Naperville, IL offices. While we encourage hybrid work, we’re happy to consider remote candidates within MA or IL, where occasional travel to our offices is possible.

Salary : $95,000 - $125,000
