About the Role
Core-Rx Communications is growing! We are an independent healthcare advertising agency looking to fill copywriting positions across our creative team. In this role, you will work closely with our Copy, Art, Strategy, Clinical, and Client Services teams to develop compelling, original content that meets the unique needs of our pharmaceutical and biotech clients. The ideal candidate can flex seamlessly between scientific accuracy for healthcare professionals (HCP) and consumer-friendly messaging for patient/direct-to-consumer (DTC) audiences. What You’ll Do
- Craft & Execute: Write engaging, original, and medically sound copy across patient and HCP deliverables—including branded campaigns, disease awareness, sales tools, emails, websites, social media, and training materials.
- Translate Complex Science: Research scientific materials to translate complex clinical information into clear, strategic, and digestible messaging tailored to the target audience.
- Collaborate & Brainstorm: Participate in creative brainstorms and strategic discussions to bring concepts to life and shape brand messaging, positioning, and tone across multiple channels.
- Compliance & Accuracy: Annotate, reference, and review promotional materials according to AMA style for Medical-Legal-Regulatory (MLR) submissions, ensuring high attention to grammar and clinical accuracy.
- Present: Articulate and share creative ideas internally and, when appropriate, to agency clients.
What You Bring to the Table
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or Life Sciences.
- Agency Exposure: Copywriting experience or internship exposure within an advertising, public relations, or healthcare/pharmaceutical communications agency.
- Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with or a strong interest in learning the Medical-Legal-Regulatory (MLR) submission process and FDA promotional regulations.
- Versatility: Comfort or experience writing across multiple therapeutic areas for various stakeholders (patients, HCPs, or payers).
- Project Management: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and shifting deadlines simultaneously.

- A strong background spanning both digital and print media.
- A track record of mentoring junior/freelance writers or leading collaborative creative work.
