Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales operation. This person will drive revenue growth, manage and develop the sales team, oversee inventory and pricing strategy, and build lasting relationships with retail, commercial, and municipal accounts. The ideal candidate combines strong product knowledge, sales leadership, and a hands-on, customer-first approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and manage the sales team to meet and exceed revenue and margin targets
- Develop and execute sales strategies across retail, commercial, and municipal channels
- Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, including landscapers, contractors, and government/municipal buyers
- Oversee the sales floor and ensure a high standard of customer service
- Work with ownership and operations on inventory levels, product mix, and pricing
- Manage quoting, order processing, and follow-up to close sales
- Track sales metrics and report on performance, forecasts, and market trends
- Train staff on product features, financing options, and promotions
- Represent the dealership at trade shows, community events, and manufacturer training
- Stay current on product lines, competitor offerings, and industry developments
Qualifications
- 3 years of sales experience, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or management role
- Background in power equipment, outdoor equipment, automotive, agricultural, or a related industry strongly preferred
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with CRM/point-of-sale systems and basic reporting
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree a plus
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
