Position Summary
Consol Mining Company, LLC., a subsidiary of Core Natural Resources, is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support our financial planning, business analytics, and strategic decision-making processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building financial projections, uncovering insights through root cause analysis, and is passionate about continuous learning and improvement. This position will be responsible for budgeting and planning for the Pennsylvania Mining Complex, headquartered in Canonsburg.

- Lead in the preparation and maintenance of budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and completeness for our operating sites.
- Build and update revenue and cost models using historical data and forecast inputs to support Finance and Executive Leadership.
- Collaborate with internal accounting and business teams to provide data, analysis, and recommendations for financial decisions.
- Develop and maintain the long-range operating plans for the Pennsylvania Mining Complex.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual budget reports, forecasts, and analysis summaries
- Communicate with operations regularly and stay up to date on operating assumptions.
- Work cross-functionally to assess risks enhance planning initiatives.
- Contribute to special projects that enhance the financial planning and analysis function.
Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in valuation and financial modeling
- Experience with financial systems such as Oracle EPBCS (preferred)
- Excellent analytical and investigative skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and organize data
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Clear and effective communicator—both written and verbal
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Financial Planning or Accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field

- Must be comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Occasional travel to operating sites
