Core Molding Technologies is hiring an EHS Coordinator to support environmental, health, and safety programs in a manufacturing environment.
In this role, you'll help maintain compliance, conduct training and audits, and promote a strong safety culture across the plant.
Responsibilities
- Support EHS compliance with regulatory and corporate standards
- Guide employees and supervisors on safe work practices
- Conduct safety training, orientations, and emergency response drills
- Lead the plant’s Emergency Response Team
- Perform regular safety audits and inspections
- Support incident investigations and track corrective actions
- Assist with maintaining permits, documentation, and compliance reports
- Help identify risks and implement preventive safety measures
- Maintain accurate SOPs and support ISO 14001 / IATF 16949 systems
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies during inspections
Qualifications
- BS or Associate degree in environmental, safety, or related scientific field
- 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing, with 1–2 years in an EHS role
- Experience with safety regulations, environmental compliance, and workplace training
- Knowledge of ergonomics, machine guarding, ladder safety, and confined spaces
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Mechanically inclined and committed to safety excellence
Preferred
- Experience with composites or SMC compounding operations
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 EMS and IATF 16949 QMS
- EHS certifications (OSHA 30, CSP, CIH, etc.)
Job Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (some weekends or long hours may be required)
- Travel: Limited local travel; occasional overnight travel as needed
- Physical Requirements: Occasionally lift/move up to 20 lbs
