Core Job Functions
- Assemble and disassemble equipment for repair or relocation.
- Design and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails.
- Choose the right equipment, techniques, and tools for relocating equipment and completing tasks.
- Safely maneuver heavy metal components using rigging equipment and cranes.
- Maintain precision measurements using calipers and other measuring instruments.
Additional Responsibilities
- Weld and thread pipes for plumbing and construction projects.
- Operate machinery and tools for metal cutting, grinding, and machining.
- Verify and execute welding and soldering tasks.
- Analyze plans and blueprints to define project requirements and scope.
- Create, assemble, and install piping systems.
- Process and prepare piping materials by flame cutting and beveling.
- Transfer and locate piping, valves, and fittings securely.
- Select and apply the correct hand tools, power tools, and equipment for specific tasks.
- Accommodate the movement and placement of equipment and supplies.
