We manufacture and sell kitchenware and hydration products for all types of retailers - from national chains all over the world to independent shops in the small towns throughout the US. As our business continues to grow, we are in search of passionate and talented candidates to join our Compliance team.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Manager to lead compliance execution, product testing, and issue resolution across national brand products. This role will be the internal authority on all topics related to retailer and regulatory compliance, ensuring all testing requirements are completed accurately and on time, while supporting cross-functional teams to prevent delays, test failures, and compliance risks.
This position works closely with Product Development, factories, overseas teams, and internal compliance teams to maintain product quality and regulatory alignment.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance, Regulation, and Testing Authority
- Own the internal compliance, regulation, and testing protocols.
- Monitor changes in retailer compliance, regulatory requirements, and industry compliance trends. Implement and execute those changes.
- Establish compliance requirements for new products and new categories. Provide technical and regulatory guidance to internal and external partners.
Production Testing & Test Management
- Manage, maintain and update production testing for national brand and replenishment items.
- Coordinate product testing submissions with third-party labs (e.g., UL and other testing agencies).
- Prepare and submit test samples, applications, and support documentation.
- Track testing timelines and proactively manage delays or issues.
- Coordinate with vendors as needed for testing requirements and changes.
- Support China team and factories on testing requirements and execution.
Test Failure Management & CAPA Support
- Investigate test failures with overseas factories and identify root causes.
- Prepare and submit CAP (Corrective Action Plans) for customer approval.
- Coordinate with internal teams for conditional approvals, running changes, retest approvals.
- Follow up with factories to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Annual Testing Program Management
- Manage annual production testing for replenishment items.
- Request, review, and submit required samples to labs.
- Prepare UL applications and required documentation.
- Maintain and update annual testing trackers.
- Ensure compliance deadlines are met for ongoing product lines.
Retailer & Buyer Issue Resolution
- Manage customer complaints from retailers and buyer teams across all categories.
- Prepare CAP documentation for buyer review and approval.
- Communicate findings to account managers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure factory corrective actions are implemented in production and replenishment orders.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in QA, Compliance, or Product Testing
- Experience with national retailer compliance (Walmart highly preferred, Target, Amazon, etc)
- Experience in consumer goods, housewares, or electronics
- Experience leading CAPA / corrective action processes
- Experience working with third-party labs (UL, SGS, Intertek, etc.)
- Strong organizational and data tracking skills (Excel required)
- Ability to manage multiple timelines and follow-up tasks
- Strong communication skills with factories and cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability
Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
