Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections of solar tracker assemblies, including piles, slew drives, modules, and associated mechanical systems.
- Identify, document, and categorize visible defects, damages, and failure modes.
- Capture photographic evidence of inspection findings with clarity and precision.
- Record GPS-referenced inspection data and photographs accurately.
- Enter findings into standardized digital inspection templates or applications following established procedures.
- Adhere to project-specific quality standards and safety protocols throughout all inspection activities.
- Maintain meticulous and organized records of all inspections and findings.
- Communicate significant or recurring issues promptly to the project team.
- Ensure work is completed efficiently and safely within designated inspection areas.
- Proven experience in utility-scale solar, renewable energy, construction inspection, or field QA/QC environments.
- Prior experience performing solar, mechanical, or quality inspections preferred.
- Familiarity with solar tracker systems, PV modules, piles, and related components is advantageous.
- Ability to identify and document installation defects and mechanical issues accurately.
- Comfortable using mobile devices, inspection applications, GPS-enabled tools, and digital reporting systems.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in outdoor field conditions.
