Floor Technician

Job Summary

This position is essential for ensuring that all flooring surfaces are kept in top condition through specialized cleaning techniques, contributing to a professional and welcoming atmosphere. If you are detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate about facility maintenance, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Strip old layers of wax, finish, dirt, and debris from hard-surface floors using industrial-grade stripping solutions and floor machines.
• Apply new layers of floor wax or finish evenly with mops or applicators.
• Buff out surface scratches and scuffs to restore shine and polish floors.
• Clean carpets with hot water extraction or shampooing machines, spot-treat stains, and remove embedded dirt.
• Assist with light janitorial tasks such as emptying trash and recycling bins, cleaning mirrors and windows, and dusting.
• Support light maintenance activities, including changing light bulbs and minor repairs.
• Aid in special cleaning or facility setup tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as required to support facility operations.
  
  

Requirements

• Prior experience in floor care is required; cleaning experience is a plus.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional with excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to follow health and safety guidelines.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs, and perform bending, kneeling, and reaching.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to operate industrial equipment, including floor auto scrubbers, and climb ladders or work at heights if necessary.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at our San Antonio location.
