Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Boiler Service Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will leverage your mechanical expertise to perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of commercial and industrial boilers throughout the NYC/Long Island area. Working alongside an experienced, factory-trained technician, you will ensure that boiler systems operate safely and efficiently, providing essential services that keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on boiler equipment and systems, including low-pressure, high-pressure, power, steam, and hot water boilers.
• Replace defective valves, filters, steam gauges, and other components.
• Monitor boiler systems to ensure they are operating safely and effectively; conduct periodic cleaning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with boiler systems, notifying supervisors of any safety hazards or potential equipment failures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor to ensure an excellent customer experience.
• Contact supervisors regarding dangerous equipment or safety violations.
• Follow all OSHA safety procedures and guidelines during work activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including standby on weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in boiler maintenance, combustion, and working with basic boiler circuits (not PLC-controlled).
• Technical or vocational training related to HVAC, industrial boilers, or similar fields.
• Extensive knowledge of industrial boiler operations, maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and mechanical skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
• OSHA 30, F-60 & G-60 certifications are required.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to perform standby duties on weekends and holidays.
• Welding skills and familiarity with safety procedures are a plus.
