Area Manager Responsibilities
- Oversee daily janitorial operations across all assigned facilities, ensuring services meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Lead, train, and support a team of district managers, supervisors, and janitorial staff to promote a high-performance work environment.
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain compliance with safety protocols and quality benchmarks.
- Manage full P&L responsibilities for the regional portfolio, including budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Foster strong relationships with clients by serving as the primary point of contact, addressing concerns, and providing ongoing service improvements.
- Ensure all staff adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and client requirements.
- Recruit, hire, and evaluate staff performance, supporting ongoing development initiatives.
- Monitor operational metrics and implement strategies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and upper management to facilitate smooth operations.
- Travel to various sites as needed, including evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on operational demands.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in janitorial services, facilities management, or related industry.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience overseeing multiple locations or teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and financial management.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
- In-depth knowledge of janitorial procedures, equipment, and cleaning techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
