Overview:
Core Development and Management (CDM) owns and operates 90 Planet Fitness locations across New England and the Pacific Northwest. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, the Financial Analyst will provide analytics, forecasting, and decision support to finance and operations leadership to improve club profitability, membership metrics, and capital allocation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
- Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
- Perform variance analysis, root cause diagnostics, and driver-based modeling to recommend actions to ops teams.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
- Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
- Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards
- Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
- Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps
- Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with business analytic tools such as Power BI, Claude AI, or Tableau is a plus
Required Qualifications:
- 2–5 years finance/FP&A or analytical experience (multi-unit retail or franchise experience preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Power Query, advanced formulas); experience with Power BI/Tableau/Claude AI strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to communicate findings to non‑financial partners.
- Comfortable working independently and presenting to senior leadership.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
