Core Clinical Partners is excited to support its partnership with BSA Health in Amarillo, Texas, and is seeking a Nocturnist Hospitalist Physician to join a well-established and growing hospital medicine team.
Position Overview
Join a collaborative hospital medicine team at BSA Health, a 450-bed regional referral center serving the Texas Panhandle and surrounding region. This is a high-acuity practice environment supported by dedicated intensivists, experienced APPs, and extensive specialty coverage. Physicians looking for meaningful clinical complexity, strong team support, and a predictable nocturnist schedule will find a strong opportunity at BSA.
Practice Highlights
· 7 on / 7 off schedule
· 9P–7A nocturnist schedule
· Two nocturnist physicians and one nocturnist APP on nightly coverage
· EPIC EMR
· 450-bed regional referral center
· Level III Trauma Center
· Accredited Stroke Center
· Accredited Chest Pain Center
· 50-bed ICU
· Semi-open ICU model with dedicated intensivist support
· Regional referral area of approximately 650,000 residents
· Strong physician leadership and collaborative culture
· Extensive specialty support across medical and surgical services
· Additional moonlighting opportunities may be available based on departmental needs
Responsibilities
· Provide overnight inpatient hospital medicine coverage
· Manage admissions from the emergency department and transfer center
· Provide overnight cross-coverage for hospitalized patients
· Collaborate with specialists, nursing, case management, and ancillary services
· Supervise and work alongside the nocturnist APP
· Manage medically complex patients within a regional referral center environment
· Participate in patient handoffs and transitions of care with daytime teams
Qualifications
· Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
· Eligible for Texas medical licensure
· Comfortable managing high-acuity hospitalized patients
· Strong communication and teamwork skills
· Interest in practicing within a collaborative physician/APP model
· Experience with central line placement and basic airway management preferred
· Ability to thrive in a busy referral-center environment
