We are seeking a motivated Junior Developer to support the ongoing development, enhancement, and maintenance of the?CoreLink?App. This role is ideal for an undergraduate or graduate student interested in software development, product design, digital health, or healthcare innovation who wants?real-world?experience building and iterating on a live application used by clinicians nationwide.?
The Junior Developer will work closely with our?CoreLink?team, clinical leaders,?and?product stakeholders to implement features, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve the user experience.?
This role will offer hands-on experience contributing to a live healthcare production application, with exposure to product management, clinical operations, and digital health strategy. The Junior Developer will receive mentorship from experienced clinical and operational leaders while building a portfolio of real-world development work meaningful impact.
This role will require a commitment of 3-10 hours per week with no guarantee of minimum hours. Work schedule will be flexible to accommodate for class and other academic commitments.

Essential Duties
- Support frontend and/or backend development for the?CoreLink?App under guidance of?director and?CoreLink?team.
- Assist?with building, testing, and refining new features and enhancements.
- Deploy to an App platform?i.e.,?Apple/Android.
- Help?identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs or performance issues.
- Participate in sprint planning, standups, and feedback sessions (as schedule allows).
- Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions.
- Assist?with app documentation, release notes, and basic technical specifications.
- Support UI/UX improvements with a focus on clarity, usability, and clinician experience.
- Adhere to data security, privacy, and compliance expectations appropriate for healthcare environments.
- Foundational knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, Swift, Kotlin, Expo, React Native, Typescript, HTML, CSS).
- Familiarity with basic web or mobile development concepts.
- Ability to learn quickly, take feedback, and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and?problem-solving?skills.
- Reliable availability for agreed-upon weekly hours.
- Exhibit growth mindset and team-orientated behaviors.
Education:
- Current undergraduate or graduate student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- 0-2 years’ experience with mobile app development (iOS, Android, or?cross platform?frameworks such as?AppWrite,?SupaBase,?React Native) preferred.
- Familiarity with APIs, databases, or cloud platforms.
- Exposure to UI/UX design principles.
- Interest in healthcare, digital health, or prior experience in a clinical environment.
- Prior internship, project, or portfolio?demonstrating?development work.
