What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Massage Therapist position at CORE Chiropractic?
We are seeking a skilled and client-focused Licensed Massage Therapist to join our Chiropractic office. We are a husband and wife chiropractic team in our 22nd year of practice. A large part of our practice is prenatal, therefore, expertise in prenatal massage is required. The ideal candidate is empathetic, professional, and dedicated to providing an exceptional guest experience from start to finish.
- Client Consultation: review current symptoms and wellness goals.
- Customized Treatments: Perform professional, high-quality massage therapies tailored to individual needs.
- Client Education: Guide clients on post-treatment care, including recommending at-home stretches, strengthening exercises, and overall relaxation techniques.
- Environment & Equipment: Maintain a clean, safe, and relaxing treatment environment. Sanitize equipment and restock supplies between appointments. We have laundry facilities in house. You will be responsible for washing, drying and folding massage linens during your work day.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensure: Active and in-good-standing AZ State Massage Therapy License.
- Insurance: Must carry your own malpractice insurance.
- Education: Completion of a formal massage therapy training program and/or passing score on the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination
- Skills: Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and various massage modalities.
- Must have experience with prenatal massage. Preference will be given if proficient in other skills such as cupping.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills. A genuine desire to help others and create a welcoming, empathetic environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and exert the necessary physical strength and dexterity to perform sustained massage manipulations.
- Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
- Time management: We offer 60 and 90 min massages and allow you a 15 min break in between massages. You must have the room fully prepared prior to your client arriving.
- Etiquette- cell phone use is not permitted while you are with clients, You may use your session in between clients.
- Professional appearance - black scrubs and tennis shoes. You must provide your own. Please no use of perfume or fragrance as some clients are sensitive. You must exhibit a polished, hygienic appearance
- Professionalism: polite, respectful demeanor at all times.
- Tips - While tips are always appreciated, remember they are optional. Please do not ask your clients to tip . Some of your clients are personal injury patients of ours, it is not customary for those patients to tip for treatment related to a car accident.
Compensation & Benefits
- Job Type: Part time.
- Pay: $40 -52 / hour. (plus tips). You will be employed as an independent contractor,
- Flexible scheduling. Hours available: M, W, F 2-6pm and Thursday 9am - 6pm - we currently have a massage therapist that you will share the room with.

Our office manager will be responsible for scheduling clients and sharing your schedule with you via Google Calendar. You will only be compensated for massages performed.
