Position Summary
As a Universal Banker, you'll be the first point of contact for many of our customers— in this role, you will demonstrate service non-negotiables, assist customers with everyday banking needs, support daily branch operations, and help connect customers with the right financial solutions.
A Universal Banker's Responsibilities Include
- Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Opening, closing, and performing maintenance on personal and business accounts.
- Process teller transactions (deposits, withdrawals, payments, etc.) accurately and efficiently.
- Provide accurate information to customers based on product and service knowledge.
- Educate customers on digital tools such as online and mobile banking.
- Build relationships by identifying customer needs and offering appropriate solutions.
- Assist customers with tasks like enrolling in direct deposit or ordering checks.
- Refer customers to other departments (e.g., lending, mortgage, financial planning) when necessary.
- Participate in Core Bank’s training and development programs to enhance banking knowledge and career growth.
- Uphold the bank’s professional image through appearance, communication, and service.
- Comply with all applicable bank policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
- Perform additional clerical duties such as filing, scanning, or data entry as needed.
- Occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs (e.g., coin boxes, supplies).
- Regular Attendance Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage cash and transactions accurately.
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- High level of professionalism
- Proficient computer skills
- Basic math skills
- Other duties, responsibilities, or activities that are required of the employee may be assigned
