Requirements
Interview, evaluate, manage, and train Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs).
Provide clinical and administrative mentorship to PMHNPs under your supervision.
Train and mentor PMHNPs in core clinical duties, including:
Conducting psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits.
Prescribing and managing psychotropic medications.
Collaborating with facility staff and patients’ family members.
Delivering compassionate, trauma-informed care.
Documenting care in compliance with regulatory standards.
Travel extensively throughout NY and NJ to support providers on-site.
Occasionally provide clinical coverage for other PMHNPs, as needed, at facilities located anywhere within New York or New Jersey.
Support high-quality psychiatric care delivery in nursing home and long-term care settings.
Partner with leadership to maintain consistent workflows and clinical best practices.
Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and clinical excellence.
Qualifications
Active PMHNP license in New York (New Jersey preferred or willingness to obtain).
Proven experience interviewing, managing, mentoring, and training PMHNPs.
Strong skills in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and medication management.
Nursing home or long-term care psychiatric experience preferred.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized and able to work independently.
Willingness to travel extensively throughout NY and NJ.
Preferred residence: Greater NYC Metro Area.
