Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and patient-focused Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service while efficiently managing front desk operations in a fast-paced dental office.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the daily schedule
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits (MassHealth, PPOs, etc.)
- Collect payments, co-pays, and maintain accurate financial records
- Present treatment plans and discuss financial options with patients
- Maintain patient records using dental software (e.g., Fuse or similar)
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and follow-ups
- Manage recall system and confirm upcoming appointments
Requirements
- Previous dental or medical front desk experience preferred
- Knowledge of dental insurance (MassHealth, DentaQuest, PPOs) is a strong plus
- Familiarity with dental software (Fuse, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, etc.) preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
- Basic computer and administrative skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience presenting treatment plans
- Bilingual (Spanish, Portuguese, or other languages) is a plus
- Understanding of dental procedures and terminology
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
