What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional - MALE/EAST SIDE OF INDY/3pm to 11pm position at Cordial Care Residential & Consulting LLC?
Direct Support Professional (DSP)
The DSP is responsible for fostering an environment where individuals may develop to the best of their potential by supporting individuals with daily tasks including personal care in accordance with person-centered plans, Individual Support Plans, behavior plans and Cordial Care policy. A DSP provides transportation for individuals as needed and professionally and accurately maintains documentation and communication.
Basic Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Eighteen (18) years of age or older
- Valid Indiana Driver’s License
- Must be willing to transport individuals in reliable, personal vehicle
- Must maintain and provide proof of current automobile insurance
- Ability to effectively communicate with individuals who may have communication deficits
- Willingness to change work location at any time based on individuals’/program needs
- Must possess basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Six (6) months of consistent work experience, volunteer experience, internship, or post high school education
- One (1) year of experience working with individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.75 - $16.00 per hour
