Senior Accountant-Unanet

Cordia Resources is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to lead key aspects of our financial operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, and audit preparation. The ideal candidate will have strong and recent experience with Unanet, and a solid background in GAAP and government contracting environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the monthly close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and internal reports
• Oversee audit preparation, including documentation and coordination with external auditors
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies, and government regulations
• Maintain and optimize financial processes in Unanet, ensuring data integrity and efficiency
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including contracts, HR, and project management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a government contracting environment
• Strong recent experience with Unanet is required
• In-depth understanding of GAAP and government cost principles (FAR, DCAA compliance)
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
