Senior Accountant, Revenue Recognition

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant, Revenue Recognition to join a dynamic accounting team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate revenue reporting and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment and brings strong analytical and technical accounting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain revenue tracking schedules and standard financial reports.
- Manage monthly revenue transactions in the General Ledger and Revenue Subledger, including calculating and accruing estimates.
- Prepare asset and liability balance sheet reconciliations and roll-forward schedules; recommend and post adjusting journal entries.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues, identify revenue adjustments, accruals, and explain variances.
- Perform month-end revenue analysis and quarterly marketing allowance payments and reconciliations.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5 years in corporate accounting or a mix of public and corporate accounting (highly preferred).
- Education: BS in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CPA candidate highly preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP).
- Experience with Navision or similar ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under tight deadlines in a complex environment.
